Are you a 200hr Yoga teacher who is ready to learn the ancient teachings and take them to the next level. It is a sign you aren’t satisfied with your yoga practice or teaching and you want to join a yoga teacher training. It is time to step up.

The 300-hour Advanced Training (RYS) is the first of its kind. It builds upon and expands students’ knowledge of yoga practice. The 300-hour advanced training prepares its students to teach principles and techniques of yoga with more confidence and skill than is reasonable for a yoga teacher. Yoga Alliance can register teachers who have completed the 200-hour and 300-hour yoga training.
- As a student, you will learn how to create excitement and suspense in your yoga classes.
It is similar to leading a great orchestra when you teach yoga. An unspoken undulation in tempo, exhilaration and anti-climax is often a hallmark of a great yoga class. It’s as if you are on a rollercoaster ride only to reach the end of your journey in savasana ( corpse position). You will be able to experience deep revelations within a Vinyasa flow of just 90 minutes. You can learn advanced yoga skills to help students navigate through these profound moments in yoga classes. You can pause when necessary in a level-2 yoga teacher course. You can think of the commercial break right before you discover the killer of your crime drama series. The suspense keeps the audience wanting more. Your students will be engaged and intrigued if you know how to adjust the pace in your yoga classes. You’ll be able to bring an intuitive touch to your classes by putting in enough practice teaching.
- Learn more about Yoga philosophy than just the Chakras and the 8 Limbs.
Your 200-hour training will teach you the Chakras system as well as the 8 Limbs in Patanjali’s Raja Yoga. There is much more to this ancient practice and philosophy. You’ll be able to dive deeper into studying yogic scriptures as well as other classic texts like the Bhagavad Gita or the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, just to name a few. Most yoga classes don’t share ancient knowledge. You will be different from other teachers if you can offer higher-level yogic instruction.
- Learn your yoga anatomy like an expert.
Let’s face it, yoga teachers must understand the anatomy of the human body. No matter how good or bad your 200-hour yoga training was, the anatomy will be a huge part of your teaching. It’s great that your students can do handstands, but it’s not cool when they get a hernia, wrist injury, or other injuries. Advanced anatomy training teaches you how safely to guide your students into more difficult yoga poses and how to cultivate a sustainable practice of yoga.
- Be a masterful teacher of meditation
It may not be possible for the true masters to meditate for a lifetime. You’ll still learn many ways to help you meditate in your yoga classes. Yoga’s goal is to calm your mind. Your students will reap the benefits of meditation practices, in addition to all the cool poses.
- Connect with your desire to become a yoga teacher
Teaching yoga full-time can cause you to be tired and burnt out. A 300-hour course can help you reconnect with the purpose of becoming a teacher. Remember the vision and mission that you had in your first training. Rekindle that spark and ignite it again! It is a good idea to take advanced teacher training outside of your home so you can disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with yourself. Yoga teachers must unplug regularly to recharge their energy. Your yoga practice will be more effective if you are able to give it your best.
